Today was the day you found out you are going to have a baby sister! I don't quite think you get the whole concept of things but you do call my belly "baby sister" now.
Grandma came up and surprised all of us!
Don't tell anyone but you are the only one who knows her first name!
I know that you will be the best big brother ever and protect and teach your little sister.

But James I want you to know that you will always be my baby and you are always loved!

Happy Halloween! Last night was Halloween and you were crazy excited! I made sure that you knew everything about it.  We sang Mean Old Witch and Halloween Tree. You loved watching "The Halloween movie" (Nightmare Before Christmas) And you loved going shopping in the halloween stores!

For Halloween you were a Skeleton! I painted your face and everything! You thought it was great!
You were also old enough to actually do real trick or treating!
You got that down fast! You were so cute going door to door. Everyone thought you were so adorable when you said "Trick or Treat" and "Thank You". They basically dumped the whole bowl into your bucket!
You had a blast!

When we came back home you thought it was great to hand out candy to the other kids too.

Daddy had to run to the store and he took you with him but you were so tired that you fell asleep and when you got home and I was washing your face you hardly twitched!

Today we had your Birthday Party! Grandma and Grandpa came up just in time to help celebrate.
You were tired and ended up napping right before everyone showed up, so when you did wake up you were a little cranky but warmed up fast. You had so much fun!

We had a chili bar and lots of yummy treats.

Happy Birthday Monkey! You are 2 years old today! You are getting so big! I can't believe how fast you have grown up!

Today you pooped for the first time in your potty! I am so proud of you!
You started to get that look like you needed to go so I asked if you wanted to poop in your potty and you were so excited.
This means we are one step closer to finishing your potty training!

 Today we went to Jump Around Town with a lot you your friends. You all had so much fun! There were slides and a big jump pillow and jump houses. Your favorite was the Jump pillow. Everyone had such a great time! I can't wait till we get to go again!

Happy Valentines Day!
We had fun today! You and I played games and read books in the morning. Then daddy came home for lunch just in time for you to nap in his arms while I made lunch. Then we played some more and you help me get dinner ready.
After dinner you had fun knocking on the door and leaving gifts and then answering the door and getting a little gift for yourself!
You got a stuffed Dumbo, some clothes, a water bottle, a big ball, and some candy!
You had such a great day!
You then got to skype with Grandpa Greg! He love you so much and you think he is so funny!

When it came time for your bed time routine you cuddled up with daddy like always and we read your book and said our prayers and then the most amazing thing happened! We put you in your crib and you didn't even whimper! Usually you cry for a minute or two but quickly fall asleep. But tonight you gave us both kisses and hugs, waved bye bye, laid your monkey down and laid down next to him and fell asleep. I think I heard you talking to yourself a few minutes later but it was so cute!
You are growing up so fast and you are so smart and mature for your age!

Today we started swimming again! You love the water and you love to go swimming.  We are going to have so much fun these next couple of weeks!

I wanted to help you do something fun for everyone for Valentines day so we took some pictures of you holding a sign for everyone.

Grandma and Grandpa took us up to Ikea today and we had fun walking all around and trying out everything.  Your favorite of course was all the kids stuff! I think you thought that those rooms were really yours!


We then all went to the BYU basketball game, Uncle Garrett even came!
You would clap and shout wooo whoo! You loved it! BYU won of course!

Mommy and Daddy had to go to a dinner so Grandma and Grandpa got to babysit you!
They love to spoil you! They took you to Toy's R Us and let you run around and play with everything.

Today your friend Bella came over and we made Valentines for daddy!
You had a blast coloring and drawing pictures for him! Then you had fun showing off and sharing your toys.  You guys had so much fun reading books to each other and playing with Fry.
When daddy came home you gave it to him and you were so proud of yourself!
Daddy loved it!

Today was Super Bowl Sunday! We were cheering for the Patriots but didn't really care too much.
We taught you to say Woo Whoo and throw your hands up in the air and you did that all game long!

After the Super Bowl daddy played fetch with you. (Daddy is very silly)

We went to the Aquarium today and you had a blast!  You loved to watch all the fish swim by and you kept smacking your lips like the fish.  You wanted to see everything!
You even tried to pet the sting rays as they swam by!

You thought the penguins we funny when they would zoomed around and played.

But I think your favorite thing were the otters! You loved them! They would swim right up to you and you would just scream and laugh at them! You were just so happy! I think if they would let you, you would jump in and swim with them if you could.
(I didn't get any pictures of this because it was so crowded and I had to hold you so I didn't get any good shots of you with them)

You were sad to leave but we told you we would come back soon and you were happy about that!

One of the really strange things you do while we are out places is just lay down in the middle of the floor and just hang out there for awhile.  We were out getting groceries and you just wanted to take a nap or something in the middle of the isle. You are just happy and like to just lay there for a minute or 2 before getting up and helping us shop.

This morning you found a old paper towel roll and and started to peel off little pieces and throw into the vent in the bathroom and every time you did it was blown back up by the air. You thought this was great! You were so excited every time it happened!

Later we went mini golfing at Trafalga.  You had a blast! We knew that we weren't going to be doing much real golfing so we just let you grab the golf balls and roll/throw them in the hole.  Then you hit some with the club and then you would just lay down in the middle of course, and then you would kick them. You had so much fun! 

I love going places with you and just having a good time!

Today you got to play with your friends Bella and Siri at the mall.  You guys had fun playing on the tree and crawling through the log.  There were lots of fun things for you to play with.
And you were so nice to share your gold fish with your friends.

But then it was time to go and you were sad to leave but we will get to play with your friends again soon I promise.

We then went to BYU so daddy could play with you while mommy went to class.  You love to play with daddy at his work.

Grandpa came today! He was only here for a minute but you were happy to see him! When he was leaving he said bye bye and so you thought you were going with him and turned and said bye bye to me!
After he had been gone for a while you jumped down and started saying grandpa? grandpa? and went knocking on all the doors looking for him.

Again I said something I didn't think I would ever say... "James, don't lick the sofa!"
We were letting you lick some of a sucker and you thought it would be a good idea to start licking the couch.

You also like to push your chair up right in front of the TV and stand there and watch it! I don't let you do it but I had to take a picture of it!

Today you wanted to shave like daddy so I helped you put shaving cream on!

Today you made me say the strangest sentence I think I have ever said today... I had to say "James don't put cheese in your ear!"
I had gotten you a cheese and cracker snack and after 10 minutes or so you thought it might be a good idea to put cheese inside your ear! I have no idea where you learn these things from.

Napping with daddy 

We went grocery shopping tonight and all of a sudden you started saying "dog dog woof woof woof" So I looked around and saw the giant dog on the chair so I sat you next to it.
